I live in southern GA so it is very hot during the day already. The soil in my yard is a little sandy, so I’m guessing that the water drains from it really quickly. I water usually every morning, and feed once a week. I know you probably can’t tell me with out knowing what kind of flowers they are, but what are the normal signs for over watering? I think they look OK but a little brown on the edges of the leaves and petals. They were just Home Depot ready to plant flowers…nothing exotic. I never water in the heat of the day…Usually at night or early in the morning. I know nothing about gardening.

I have 3 days to decorate and important get together but I have never made flower arrangements, so I would prefer a non flower arrangement but they don’t really want candles. It needs to be somewhat manly with a theme of reach for the stars. I am scared to death 30 people will be gathered together to give speeches ask questions etc…any easy ideas?

My theme is Chocolate, my colors so far are a dark espresso brown, Ivory, and Tan. Like the colors of chocolate. I’m having a hard time finding flowers to go with my theme. I was hoping to find a dark brown accent flower, with maybe some ivory calililys, or even hydrangia. Since I’m having such a hard time, I’ve been thiking of adding a little bit of color to the whole scheme, but that would totally defeat the whole chocolate idea, unless I did like a minty green or a sage. I’m completely stuck. Any ideas?

I wanted some input from you guys, would growing exotic hard to find flowers and fruits be a good business idea?

I used to date a girl who loved Hibiscus’s and was going to buy her flowers one day so I went to like 5 different florists and no-one had Hibiscis’s. I also like a lot of wierd exotic fruits like star fruit, dragon fruit, etc and those are impossible to find at grocery stores. I imagine the fruit idea may be a little harder because of all the regulations reguarding food. Anyhow, just wanted your thoughts. Do you think this would be a successful business? Who would my customers be? Etc.
Okay, let me elobaroate a little more, I wouldn’t want to open up a retail store, I would want to supply florists and stores with them since they don’t currently carry them. I really wouldn’t want to deal with retail customers, although I suppose for weddings and events I could deal with them.

I am having an outdoor wedding in the Mountains so I don’t need a lot of decoration flowers as it will be pretty enough. I mainly just need my bouquet, 6 bridesmaids, and the boutennieres (I have no idea how to spell that). I am thinking maybe some flowers for the reception but I am doing mostly candles as it is a very rustic barn. Thanks in advance
Oh and does anyone know of any websites with pictures I can get bouquet ideas??
