I am getting married next year and I want a few ideas of what flowers are nice to use for a summer UK wedding.
I like peony roses and tulips.

I’m planning on buying flowers for my gf the day before valentine’s and keeping them hidden in my car overnight so I can get em out and surprise her in the morning. My only concern is whether the flowers will survive in only water overnight in the darkness of my car…anybody know if they can make it overnight?

Picking the right types of wedding flowers can be as simple as picking up a book and educating yourself on all the varieties available. This blog I found really talks about the Importance Of Education. Check It Out.

My girlfriends and I have been planning our wedding day since we were little girls. We have already picked out the flowers and everything. The only problem is I don’t have a boyfriend and can’t seem to ever get a second date. I think I have found the solution to finding and keeping a man. This book is amazing. Check it out. Find A Man

Have you or do you know someone who has grown their own wedding flowers?
Filed Under Weddings | 10 Comments
We are getting married in the spring and we wanted gerbera daisies at first. But we are trying to spend as little as possible and still make it pretty. We are wanting it to feel and look like an old fashioned country wedding with a small old church and just a few people.
What would be the easiest flowers to grow in pots ourselves that would be ready for cutting in April? Oh, and they have to make a 500 mile trip. lol

I am having a very small reception at my mother’s house during the middle of July. She said that we could plant some bulbs and have the flowers in bloom around that time. My wedding colors are pink and chocolate with a little bit of white, so those colors would be wonderful as I would really like to skip the florist. Thank you!

I was thinking about doing my own flowers for my wedding. I have seen quite a bit of tutorials and I am sure that I can handle it.
The company that I am using for bulk flowers has a very limited variety of flowers. Does anyone know of a company that sells bulk flowers and offers a wide selection of varieties?
Or…What is the best way to save money if I decide to use a florist?

Are there any basic rules/ideas that are helpful to keep in mind when picking wedding flowers?
Filed Under Weddings | 10 Comments
I am getting married in June and have an appointment with the florist to pick flowers this Saturday. She told me to bring ideas and photos of things I like, but I have no idea how to even go about choosing what’s appropriate or would look nice. It’s a large formal wedding, my bridesmaids dresses are an aqua color and we’re having a church wedding and then an indoor reception. Should the centerpiece flowers be similar to the bridesmaids flowers? Should my flowers be completely different? I have no idea where to start, so any advice is really appreciated!
